What was up with the hero party thing when anyone can seemingly defeat these demon kings if they are just a bit strong.
And whats up with that evil manipulator girl, did mage girl sniff her out as sus as fuck or just a passing comment?
No revenge was had by MC, fine I guess, but am I supposed to feel bad for arsehole guy that tried to ruin his friends life to steal a girl that clearly loves someone else? Why a scene with him being like "oh well I lost, totally didn't do anything completely evil so I have no regrets losing", what? Even if it's not for MC, fuck this guy over for the readers damnit.

They had a fight but they only almost lost because they didn't confirm the kill TWICE so... Fake drama? Drama because they are actually stupid? What kind of boss fight is that.

A few of us speculated that she was the goddess incarnate because as soon as shows up, she IMMEDIATELY starts talking down to them over how useful MC's class is and how no matter how hard they try, they can't replace him. It seems sort of personal with how she does it too.

If that's the case she was probably trying to salvage something considering MC's class is supposed to be on par with the Hero anyway, so might as well make a NEW party with the healer since he's a requirement anyhow.

It's better than the manga, but I wouldn't call it "good"... a better description would be "mediocre" at best.

There's often no immediately engaging subplot to keep you interested, so often the group is just traveling aimlessly and coincidentally there's some drama at whatever place they end up going to. The coincidental drama begins the subplot, and after a couple chapters it's resolved before more aimless wandering.

Honestly this seems to be common in Japanese stories. Having an MC that enjoys traveling aimlessly, but constantly gets dragged into trouble. Especially if the story is based in another world.

I did enjoy the way the MC treated the goddess of twilight though. They didn't really do it much in the manga, but in the WN he is almost constantly giving her head chops or forehead flicks.

That's a good twist! and they canceled this? Did the artist find something else to do or did it just not take off?

The didn't cancel it, they just never intended it to run that long for a novel ad. I guess they would be willing to continue if the sales turns out to be good; but honestly the story was bad. More specifically, the motivation of the MC was really bad. The first half of the story was just MC whining and hating the goddess just because he had been given $1000 instead of the asked ¥100000.
