Pretty happy with this, previous chapter had Sunao being way too self-conscious and started mulling over things a bit too much inside his own head, Kogahara short-circuited that really fast. Thought this might've ended up being a problem between them but this is solidifying things.

Well, they didn't date for long before they realised Sunao and Lemon still love each other, what a near complete waste of time.

And this chapter is just showing why Natsumin is endgame. The story tracks how Sunao and Lemon dated, and got so lost in their own heads and how the change in circumstances caused them to push apart. And when you move to the modern day, this is still an issue both of them are having. And Natsumin has been instrumental in helping both of them push past it. Where Sunao got lost in his head, and was anxious and worried, she just took his hand and spoke honestly and sincerely and showed faith in him. And I hope the story ends with him returning that faith, talking about what he needs to with Lemon, and then returning to Natsumin.

team lemon stocks still high. I know a lot of people bought in on second main girl just because they're dating now, but don't forget who's the Kuso Onna in the title of the manga. she's still endgame

Oh that's playing dirty. Wait until she's in your body so you can look for all the tells about her tryign to lie.

really sad that this makes me feel nothing anymore, didn't think them getting together would kill it like that for me
I think its sort of the lack luster post-confession. they are't happy and giddy, they're nervous and terrified of fuckign things up.

Page 9 they are subtly drawn in different panels to show there is already distance between them.
Respectfully, this is a reach. Paneling is to show they’re both thinking about different things in this moment. If anything the separation in paneling is the literal wall of anxiety and nervousness that Sunao is feeling. Koga sees that and breaks it by reaching out to him both physically and verbally. Notice how by the end of the conversation they’re both in the same panel together.

this is really my problem with when a series goes with the non-main romantic interest. there's just no juice with a side character

when the whole manga is devoted to Lemon and Sunao, they have way more scenes together, a shared history with bad things they had to overcome both now in college with the body swap, and back in the day with the lie, that would make them getting together feel like the culmination of a story built across the whole manga.

think about what Sunao and Kogahara's relationship was before they got together. absolutely zero conflict or drama whatsoever! they have crushes on each other, they go "oh wow I really like him/her”, blush, and get along good with no problems. sure if they were real people that's great but as a story it's so boring! Kogahara is such a bland character she has never even been disagreeable, she accepted the body swap basically instantly as soon as it was revealed and has been endlessly accommodating to them, she doesn't even get a little jealous or anything. she's like a cardboard box of a person. I just can't feel any excitement or enjoyment from them getting together, it has the vibe of your friend getting a new pair of shoes. like ok I'm happy for him but it doesn't mean anything for me
