Having a chapter between figuring it out and solving it, then a proper epilogue chapter, I think would have felt much better. Just like, maybe, 2 chapters more and it could've felt way less rushed.

With a lot of axed manga you can tell when they had a planned ending in mind vs when they didn't. This ending was definitely planned its just clearly rushed. I guess there's some irony in that I would describe Lemon's ending as bittersweet but I can't lie this definitely leans toward bitter especially as I don't feel that the final "happiness" was earned. I was team Kogahara (or throuple) but even still I really feel like Lemon's ending would have benefited significantly from just 2 chapters moreso than many other axed manga.

Hopefully you find true happiness Lemon. 7/10

I don't get why so many people complain about the ending.
It's much better than those never ending stories, here everything is settled and clear, I'm not asking more.
Not even sure it was axed, that could be the proper ending planned from the beginning.
They can maybe do an epilogue, nothing more needed.

She grew miles as a person and is now perfectly comfortable in her own skin without anyone else propping her up. Compare that to her in school and it's night and day. How is that not earned?

Kogahara is a fine end game, but I really wanted Lemon

The author is very clever. No, really. She made Sunao end up with Kogahara but made sure that the last chapter throws in some fan-service for Lemon shippers so that they aren't too bitter and instead content over seeing them sleeping together.

She also makes sure not to show anything more than a hug between Kogahara and Sunao because then the focus would shift again to Kogahara 'winning' and Lemon 'losing' if they did anything more. Very clever.

But then comes the most brilliant part. She also knew some Lemon fans would be pissed over her leaving for abroad with an unknown romantic future there, so what does she do? She cuts straight to a time-skip of Lemon abroad and deliberately makes her clarify that she has made no romantic pursuits since Sunao and is currently happy being single.

Honestly, hats off to the author.
