Contextually, "this kid's trouble" would mean "this kid is trouble" as no one would think it means "the trouble belongs to this kid". Besides, "this kid is a trouble" wouldn't be standard English anyway.

We find out the maid "Shi-Sui" doesn't actually exist, that Rou Ran would have her maids dress up as her and was currently missing from the palace with a maid in her place, then find out that Shi-Sui is a sister of Sui-Rei and a part of the Shi clan. So Shi-Sui a maid who doesn't actually work at the palace leave the same time Rou Ran is missing... like come on... I think the audience was supposed to realize before Mao Mao

That is why I had to check since I long assumed she was disguising herself as a maid even before the kidnapping due to how she behaved. Maybe this is were the author flat out says but MaoMao already hinted she knew who she was, I am not sure how to take this as I think MaoMao is simply somewhat surprised she taking the Rou Ran persona again.

I also think it became obvious with all the hints we got but I kind of forgot about them between updates and I was shocked regardless lol

There is still some misdirection leading up to this. We'd gotten a big reveal about Shisui before -- that she was a spy who wasn't on the servant payrolls at all, and that she was Suirei's sister. But all this is also linked to the secret tunnel, and the fact that we first met her while she was looking for the cat that came through it. So it's reasonable to assume that Shisui herself had infiltrated the palace through that tunnel.

And then, separately, we get the reveal that Loulan's been using one of her ladies-in-waiting as a body double, and that she's now completely missing from the palace. When I was reading the LN, I think that was when I started thinking, "Wait, could it be…?" After all, if the whole point of the getup and the makeup is to enable the Padme Amidala thing, the flip side is that when she wants to move about undetected, the natural disguise would be one of the ubiquitous, unnoticed servant girls.

A lot of people are going to connect those two pieces before the reveal. But it still wasn't explicit until now. A lot of the best reveals are like that -- when they happen, much of the audience goes "Ohhhh, that makes so much sense!" But because it does make sense, some people are going to see it coming. And fan chatter for a serialized work tends to amplify theorycrafting.
