It certainly is weird when you think about it logically, but this is more wish fullfillment on the "older woman" part.

might be playing on three levels

1) identify with the girlfailure and neet/messy living habits (both guys and girls can do this)
2) Goon off the girl because you can't goon off ugly bastard.. at least not easily (again both guys and girls can..)
3) appeal to the onee x shota crowd who either want to be pampered or who want a shota to pamper (you get the picture)
