Why are these guys sawing off the entire wing for feathers? Why not pluck the feathers if you want them? Seems like they're destroying their own source of merchandise.

Reminds me of those morons who kill rhinos for their horns, rather than simply sawing off the horn without killing the rhino (which conservationists do just to prevent poaching from these morons).

My guy, what is simpler, cutting off an entire wing and then bothering with feathers or bothering with feathers while a wild animal is thrashing around. The same reason why elephants/rhinos were killed, it's easier that to cut/scrape(for powder) while they are still alive. And if you think it's not really the same (elephants are massive tanks and rhinos are smaller tanks after all), a horse can kill a human with a single kick.
