His art is basically just being used as both an ex machina and a crutch but in a very inconsistent way.

Either this kid is drawing non-stop and SHOULD know at least some of his limits with his art/magic and needs an exclusive slave or is he just not that obsessed and wouldn't need something like a slave. (Though why he needs a slave when he lives at a rich person's house who should have their own servants, maids, etc is beyond me but whatever.) But the manga doesn't pick a lane.

Also the same kid having trauma about poachers almost killing him, completely forgets that trauma, and is totally cool with a murderer. Makes perfect sense.

Like, okay, MC refused them, sure, but, honestly, at this point it feels more like this is because the author, unlike the protagonist's stated preferences, prefers men (which, to be clear, is fine and lovely) than because they understood the problems with the slavery system they've just described (...and that part is a bit awkward...)
