Tougo said she's around the same age... possible FL? Or maybe not. It's not really clear whether any kind of romance will ever feature in this manga.
Though I hope there's some at least. Artists drawing each other in environments that suit their respective natures would be delightfully romantic (ex. Tougo sitting on a stump in a shady forest clearing, evening light - plays into the forest spirit theme; that lady in the middle of the park, powerful wind billowing her hair and dress, early morning - plays into the 'city painter' aspect while also paying homage to the 'strength' that she seems to feature in the character of her art).

There's a whole lot of romantic potential in art. Historically it was kind of a thing, a male painter in the renaissance period painting a woman who enamoured and inspired him (ie. "the artist's muse" as they'd say). And there's reason that couldn't be mutual.

Oh god I thought the same, I really hope this isn't the FL because Cloa is still my number 1, its too dam hard to bring in a girl who beats her atm, tho I do wonder how would a FL work when MC is now a half spirit or a full spirit? I'm guessing spirits have a LONG ASS life span if not immortal to age meaning a FL would have to maybe become a spirit themselves or things would get depressing once then die

Either way this girl isn't beating Cloa for me and so I hope she isn't FL

also someone did say there is romance in a spoiler b4 aka the spoiler was about the female knight || apparently she marries the commander of the knight group or something that her and the Muscle dude around MC used to be in? || so I'm coping that if that info is true that means there COULD be romance for MC and maybe other chars but alas I only care for MC's romance

I figured it was ace/aro at first.
Certainly not yaoi though. Not with their reactions to Cloa.

If you're really bad a drawing, then it's probably better to not bother trying (like, bad stick figures bad).
Moreover artistic expression is only one of many ways one can express their love for another. Just as they are many forms of beauty and other aesthetics aside.

That's one of the main reasons I said "It's not really clear whether any kind of romance will ever feature in this manga."
I figured he might just be completely devoted to art, with no interest in romance. But I also thought "What if there was romance within the context of art? If they used art as a love language while also loving art itself?"
But yeah, I can totally see this being an aro/ace story with art itself as the fundamental "love".

Cloa is a cool person and all, but I don't think she really "fits" Tougo. They don't really operate on the same wavelength, so to speak. They understand each other just fine, but they don't really "connect" on that level. Personally, I think connecting on that level is really important in relationships. To genuinely understand the way your partner's mind works and be able to communicate on that level. It significantly reduces miscommunication and doesn't force one or both parties to make compromises (or at least reduces the probability of that).

Cloa is a cool person and all, but I don't think she really "fits" Tougo. They don't really operate on the same wavelength, so to speak. They understand each other just fine, but they don't really "connect" on that level. Personally, I think connecting on that level is really important in relationships. To genuinely understand the way your partner's mind works and be able to communicate on that level. It significantly reduces miscommunication and doesn't force one or both parties to make compromises (or at least reduces the probability of that).

Dam that's wild, I actually thought the opposite that they connect really well with them mostly being able to know what the other is thinking, like when MC was talking to someone in a room then left the room and Said Cloa you heard what we talked about right? automatically knowing she was listening etc, then again the Only reason I too sadly don't think Cloa would be FL is because MC isn't really going ham on women in general like sure his love confession to Cloa was TOP TIER and MC took her seriously when she wanted to be a nude art for him but atm MC has too much baggage with the issue of His parents treatment to him which he still hasn't really opened up with everyone 100% and then there's still the biggest issue being he's not human anymore, either way like I said I just hope this new girl is NOT FL since I REALLY don't like her design since Cloa atm is best girl

The confession was pretty good, I agree. I just don't think that's the sort of dynamic they have. I like what they have right now.

I've seen some designs that I feel are just plain irritating for whatever reason. That said, it honestly just seems like you, personally, just really like Cloa. Nothing wrong with that, of course. I do like Cloa since she's Really pretty, I don't think new girl is pretty at all and instead just basic hence it would be a shame to me if she turned out to be FL....

Now by Minds working the same way? yea atm MC isn't really connected to anyone enough to open up 100% about everything like even his FIRST BEST FRIEND doesn't know anything about MC's past which is kinda wild ngl but instead its the body guard who knows how MC's parents treated him BUT best friend does know that MC is from another world which I don't think he's told everyone else about it either so in some ways he's separating the important knowledge to certain people about himself and not all of those people know everything, very interesting stuff since usually its 1 or some people who know MOST of MC but instead this is in another direction

But yea I'm really just tired of fantasy worlds having MC's FL be some generic girl who looks like a JP character or just in general having WAY BETTER women losing to the basic ones for some SHIT reason

Also I realized that this world doesn't seem to have other races besides human which is interesting like there's spirits and fairies but its WILD that there's no elves or dwarfs etc etc
