It has been a while I don't recall their backstory but they are an adorable couple
They used to serve the same master, Laocules get into slavery by killing the replacement lord. His colleague is enslaved just because. Their daughter of their master they once served is the little girl that got adopted. That’s all.

but nope. Interia and Laocles are purely platonic. Later she will get married with the commander of their old knight troop, who will also be saved from slavery along with the rest of their people.
Laocles does have some chemistry with Croix tho

Though it is nice they are getting paired up. So more people to his list of indentured servants and slaves? At least our MC isn't creepy he is just obsessed with art. Though that in and of itself shows something in him is badly broken. The flash backs to his parents show a bad childhood I fear we have only seen the surface of it...
