Hmm, I'm curious how the raw Japanese dialogue went. It makes sense for "I'm fine" to go both ways in regards to rejecting/accepting an invitation/offer in English, but does Japanese have that, too?
Hahahaha XD
This is one of those jokes that don't land well when translated. In Japanese, いい (ii) means "good", "well", but depending on the context, it can also be used to politely excuse yourself from an invitation.
I guess "I'm fine" also works, but that's less dependent on the context and more on the way you pronounce it.
[sigh]
I guess this means Honobe is going to be shoed in despite being the inferior girl. Everyone that's a man of culture is rooting for the tomboys. Get your shit together, Amazuma, all you have to do is stop sabotaging yourself by being embarrassed/failed unintentional tsundere'ing.
