I guess you really can't beat experience. Takeru is after all a true hero and not just a an overpowered hunter. He already did level grinding in his past isekai, experiencing encounters in all situations and environments on his way to saving that isekai successfully, with all the support of the crown and talented mentors back then. He is just held back by his current body right now but that issue is diminishing as he continues to train, but all in all, what he has which the other strong hunters do not have is experience.

again sorry but he doesn't has much of a chance after the last arc, he has to prove his work and advance fast as he was saved by the S-ranks, the thing though and I would give you the point, he wants to avoid being seen in his full power (not used too yet as he lacks the common sense of that time and avoids it to not repeat what happened in the isekai world) and he went and defeated the boss of the test like paper hahaha.
