Nah, Takamine being like that actually makes sense. She is like, what? 15 or 16? She is a teenager, they can afford to be idealistic, especially given humans betraying humanity to side with the monsters seems so rare (even the snake dude from the first arc is mostly his own side rather than siding with the monsters). Everyone other than her like Karen and Igarashi all have no problem with putting down Shido. Also Takamine's idealism is a core characteristic to her. Her idealism is what convinces Takeru to have hope in humanity once again after all.

It's outright mentioned that such thinking is really idealistic and naive. And considering Takamine is just a 16 year old girl who hasn't experience much of the dark side of humanity, this is understandable.

This is gonna go back to the Pandora stuff (Cube/Humanoid Shadow) the Demon Lord was talking about. Shidou looks like a Demon so he must've taken up the Goblin on a deal to consume it. Something that Echidna had ripped from her body when she was killed, and the Snake Guild Lead consumed himself which doesn't seem like it'll end well for him on retrospect.

It's possible Shidou became a Demon to prevent an entire Guild from turning into Demons, hence why he'd devour their hearts which is where Pandora lies after consumption.

Beside, most earliest version of Batman do kill criminals, on occasions. (first confirmed in Detective Comics #27)

It is his entire character, the one who stuck in the middle between darkness and light, constantly looking into abyss - unblinking. No killing rule is a choice, not because naivety but necessity. He aware of what he will became should he break it, the very same thing he swore to fight (Possible (comedic) Future).

And he afraid what else Gotham will spit out should he gone this way.
