I like how most of the hunters, especially those who are observant always seem to make up a point that takeru's existence is needed to prevent him from going all hero mode and putting himself into a suicide bomb, the story constantly hints about how his trauma might make him pivot to the deep end but the people around him pull him back without actually stating it

To be fair it's been shown that his son is really just that strong, what with him killing hunters left and right. I won't say he is right, but Sogou is not wrong in thinking that his son must be killed no matter what in order to protect the people. But at the same time, the fight between Sogou and his son in the previous arc is also used to highlight the fact that Sogou and Takeru aren't that much different in how they can be very suicidal and ignoring the feelings of those who do care about them (and still alive). Sogou clearly realised that after the fight, which is why he sent Takeru to Shichiri so Takeru can learn (and not end up like him).

In a way I really like how the adults in this manga actually behave like adults. The old hunter president dude looks shady af but so far the evidences show that he is just "for the greater good" type of people. Similarly the evil snake dude from the first arc also has his own stuff going on but underneath all that is a genuinely decent boss to his guild and his demon gf literally sacrificed her own life for him. It's really awesome.
