Wow... those knights. They can jump out of a moving carriage to catch someone in the blink of an eye, but they can't stop someone carrying a body over their shoulders as they run across the yard and get on a carriage?
Firing them would be merciful. Just standing by while someone gets kidnapped right in front of them, I'd have them thrown in a dungeon on suspicion of being accomplices.
There's still one carriage right there, unhook the horses and go after them. There's no away an unburdened horse can't catch up to a carriage in a matter of seconds. Unhooking the horses can't take longer than it took the kidnapper to open the carriage, put the victim inside, close the door, release the brakes, get into position and set the horses moving.
With things getting that serious, I'd be seriously considering disappearing if I were in Rose's position. Also, I wouldn't charge into that house without something for insurance, like a lamp full of oil to light the place up if I got in a pinch.
