This is obvious, but cooking in lab in general (in an autoclave or making a hotpot specifically) will probably have the EH&S squealing and squirming. (though I'd like to try at one point, maybe when I'm alone in lab)

Tbf I use a magnetic stirrer too when I add sugar to drinks or when I make something like hot chocolate (with a clean stir bar exclusive to food and drinks).

I bought mine from AliExpress, there are stirrers there for "normal" people to use for drinks, not necessarily lab equipment. These ones have a rechargeable battery so you can use them without having to need a wall outlet near (mine isn't one of those).
