I don't know... I know that she's trying to get revenge on for her brother... but he doesn't really want it, at least, not this way. Consider his feelings!

People are saying she's being pushy making him be the Duke, but... If he isn't even confident holding a pen, then how can he become a knight?
He'll probably be just as scared either way

I get she wants to take revenge for him but this is probably not the right way to do it

I'm a bit confused as to why he can't hold a pen or still use a sword when only one of his hands is ruined... even if it is his dominant hand he can learn to use the other one don't know why he can't use a one-handed sword either. Now the mental trauma aspect preventing him is more understandable but it comes off strange how its presented.

She was supposed to be the Duchess. From birth, she was constantly drilled on what she needed to know and do to become the duchess.
After he brother was horrifically injured, she has to give him the title that she has been working hard for because her brother is crippled and cannot become a knight.
She is sacrificing her predetermined position to make sure that her brother is not tossed to the side and ignored. She is taking up the sword that he can no longer hold so that she can fight in his place.
I don't see why she's getting so much hate. It may seem pushy, but she has always done what's best for him.
As long as he's comfortable enough, she's willing to sacrifice what she's been working on for many years just for him.
She said it earlier. One child becomes a knight, the other inherits the title. Her brother has no chance of becoming a knight anymore, so it makes sense that he inherits the title while she, healthy and able, takes on the task of becoming a knight.
It'll take time for him to get used to where he's at, since he can barely hold a pen, but it seems that there is no other choice.

If we're gonna be salty at anyone, it should be towards the second prince for injuring her brother in the first place.
He assumed that if he stopped her brother from becoming a knight, then Lamia would somehow not die like she did before. If she later finds this out, I guarantee she would be angry beyond belief. I would be. Ruining her brother's chance of becoming a knight by crippling him just so that there's a chance Lamia will not die is a shitty move altogether. He can't predict the future. She may still die in the end anyway. Did he consider that her fate might never change? Did he consider that his actions may make things worse?

Idk. I'm just ticked and too pessimistic to see how the second prince could think that things would work out for the better.

I think I agree with @nan0bitz , the brother is injured and there's literally no other position he can take, Lamia is trying to give the best outcome for him, I'm not too fond of this ML (Aquilla or whatever his name is) from I've seen to be honest.

Okay, your brother doesn't know anything about ruling, why is he getting such a position. The vassals do not trust him, have you ever considered that there might be a revolt if he proves to be underwhelming, and once you lose that power there is no getting it back. Ruling is an important task, it isn't just about position but your people. If the ruler messes up the people suffer.

This girl make no sense.

Ok so my theory
It doesnt seem like in the past lives lamia and aquila had any bad blood and that lamia joined the knights for some other reason, but that led to her death coz she met with aquila.
In this time maybe aquila is tying to make lamia stay away from him? So that she doesnt fall in love with him and doesnt die and can "see the spring".
He purposely started a rivalry between lamia and him by breaking a hand of her brother, so that when she joins the knights she doesnt get close to him as before?

Anyways I dont think lamia is that smart lol why would you leave the position of the head to an unreliable man just to get revenge for him? And I'm.pretty sure she will be able to get better revenge if she becomes the duchess. She will have more power and authority that way unlike as a mere knight no?

Still I like this story the whole part of aquila trying to go back in time to save her is just heartbreaking. I hope this doesnt end in a tragedy. But how will she come to love aquila in this life where he broke her brother's hand??

seeing how pessimistic he is i dont think there will be good outcome be giving him the Duke position as long he doesnt change
