sigh ok, this is starting to just get plain annoying. At first I was hoping Phos would grow as a character and fine their place, and that seemed to be the direction it was heading, but then the story just decided that it wouldn't for some reason. The only thing that seems to be happening is Phos gets screwed over at every turn while everyone else reaps the benefits of Phos actions and looks on at Phos without pity. I freaking swear, it just getting plain annoying.

It's amazing how fast a manga can go from my favorite to my LEAST favorite
Perhaps take a break from shonen for a while, please, if you want to continue reading, cuz even though my comprehension is bad, I understand perfectly why everything is happening the way it is. Phos from the beginning is different from everyone, the only one wanting to question Sensei, the only one willing to find the truth (honestly, reminds one of humanity irl lol). He finds out that their arch-nemesis actually have a good reason for being their enemies and that the Lunarians attempts were never personal. Sensei (Adamant) is the cause of this problem and that isn't even fully clear because Adamant started caring for the gems and the reason the Lunarians have to suffer is because of this, but is it wrong? Phos' attempts to resolve this issue ends up in Cinnabar "betraying" him because Phos' still hasn't figured out all Cinnabar wanted was for Phos' to be his partner, to not be lonely, in Phos' attempts to resolve this issue, he steals Prad, whom Rutile has been caring for since forever. How would you feel if your loved one who was ill and you've caring for was taken by your sibling who said the person who is kidnapping your family members can heal said-ill-loved-one and they even took s-i-l-o without saying anything! It's caused a whole division between the gems on earth against Phos'; they won't allow him to explain because of the above reason, and Adamant is unable to explain because of his programming restrictions and the pity Adamant because he's basically their father (+pheromone shit attracting them as well) that's always cared for them. THERE IS SO SO SO MUCH FROM THE STORY THAT MAKES PHOS' SUFFERING MAKE SENSE, I DON'T LIKE IT BUT THAT'S THE POINT. HE GETS SCREWED OVER AGAIN AND AGAIN IT'S LIKE Re:Zero spoiler maybe SUBARU BEING DISTRSUSTED BY THE TWINS EVEN THO IT'S NOT HIS FAULT AND SAYING WHY DIDN'T THEY PITY HIM

I really can't think the prince has been lying about very much that was told to Phos and the other gems at this point. Everyone was so happy to forgive Sensei for millennia of bullshitting them and being the sole cause for any of their suffering. He really is probably designed to make those around him love him unconditionally or something. The only thing Phos did "wrong" to spark this current treatment from the earth gems was give people a choice. Treated like a monster for that, now starting to actually resemble one.
Man, I love you; you understand exactly what's going on. It's like there's a person like you in every manga or anime like this that requires advanced comprehension (is it even advanced?) I'm assuming you read mature manga like this often? Any recommends? Maybe less suffering too:pacman:

I mean, I read pretty much anything and in sort of absurd quantities to the point that I have trouble remembering names. My follows on here used to be public so I would've offered that as an option to peruse at your leisure (with a warning that there are literally thousands of things in there between all of the reading status categories), but I don't think that's visible anymore right now?

The filtering for it is subpar right now too anyway, so even I have trouble finding things in there lately. I suppose if those are visible, my comment history might be something halfway between a spoiler minefield and a list of recommendations. That doesn't sound fun to navigate either but is honestly about the best I could do unless I see something from a series and it sparks my memory.

No problem! I'll see if I'm strong enough to take the risk and plough through the minefield then lol. Thanks either way
