Overall Rating: 8.6/10 – Here’s my reasoning:
SPOILERS BELOW!!! You have been warned.
Story: 9/10 The "transferred to another world with a system" trope isn’t new, but what is new is how they utilized it and made it unique and interesting. The MC is OP, but only to a certain extent—and the system is often used against the MC instead of always helping him, which I find refreshing. Additionally, it's extremely satisfying to see the story and lore progress—up until some of the recent chapters, where the pacing has slowed (which I’ll get into next).
Pacing: 7/10 Originally, I was going to give this a 9 or 10, but after the first half of the story, the pacing becomes a little confusing. We really don’t know how long he spent training, and sometimes it completely loses me—like in one of the more recent chapters. (Spoiler) He comes back with the mana crystal heart… where did he learn that? Did I miss something or forget it? Because I genuinely don’t remember him ever learning that technique. It feels like it was just added for plot convenience—because, technically, he should be dead right now. But I digress.
Character Development: 10/10 I really enjoyed watching the growth of these characters. It's rewarding to see them become more powerful over time without relying too much on plot devices or clichés. Sure, they do use some plot devices—but what’s a story without them? Plus, they don’t force a love interest on the MC, and not every girl he meets falls for him. He doesn’t have a harem, and his party is pretty balanced. (Spoiler) 3 boys and 2 girls—Leon, Ryu Han-bin(MC), Artisse, Ephyr, and Kivye. Also they don't fully rely on him and treat him as if he's their god, they know his circumstances and treat him like he's a hero, which, in this particular case, he is. He doesn't force his friends to follow them and they aren't stoic, they have lives, people and places they want to see, things they want to experience, and they want to end this era so they can live out their lives not in fear, but in peace.
That said, sometimes it’s a little too easy to guess a character’s role or backstory. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but I wanted to point it out for future readers.
Worldbuilding: 9/10 The history of this world is so rich and unique. The war, the gods, the way the story immerses you—it’s all great. Of course, don’t get me wrong, it still shares a lot with typical fantasy worlds. World Tree, medieval setting, classic fantasy races. But the way it uses those tropes—bending them to fit the story without going off the rails—is excellent. The world is also big, so they’re not just teleporting from place to place (even though I think they can). They actually have to travel using more traditional methods. (Spoiler) Okay, using Artisse and Ephyr might not be traditional—but come on, it’s a dragon and a wyvern. Who wouldn’t want to ride them?
The MC: 8/10 The reason I didn’t give him a full 10/10 is because he sometimes feels like a trauma machine, or his powers become a Deus Ex Machina—where he can overcome anything just by thinking hard enough, or something happens to where he can do something he shouldn't be able to. For example(Spoiler) how the hell did his "other personality" almost fully copy Barolt’s technique? From my memory, that was supposed to be nearly impossible. Also, yes, he’s OP—but don’t take that the wrong way. He’s strong for a very good reason, and the way he uses his strength is unique and not overpowering every single enemy that comes before him is actually really fun to read because it keeps me (and anyone else reading) on edge, wondering what will happen next.
And that concludes my essay, Hope you consider reading this masterpiece. ALSO, Let me know if i left a category out or I'm missing some important information, or just let me know if my opinion is completely wrong, but don't be rude about it, try to add on to what i said or change it.
