@Riverwisp if you pay attention to previous chapters, he has no problem telling people off. Hell he straight up shot a dude less than 3 chapters ago thereabouts.
Yeah, Neptune is right that takeing countermeasures against things like that should be something they do and that they should be responsible for their actions.
That said accident happensand ifyou have the ability to save somebody then it's arguably your moral obligation to do so.
( Neptune clearly is physically strong enough to fight monsters without magic unless they are immune to physical damage as he was at close to the MC´s strength )
MC might have an extra advantage here because his gun most likely still works as its effectively shooting magic bombs as projectiles.
On the flip side, however, if Neptune for some reason isn't able to fight without magic then yeah there is nothing wrong with refusing to help.
We don´t know how deep the mage is and how resistant to physical damage the monsters are, so it's hard to make a clear cut decision...
But at least from the look of things, Neptune should have been able to help if he wanted too.
It won't put him in the wrong if he chooses to not save the mage when he should be able to ( assuming it's not that deep / the monsters are immune instead of resistant )
But it would make him a selfish asshole if he doesn't save somebody when he would have been able too. At the end of the day its a question about morals if he actually is able to save them in the first place, if he isn't then he is right on all accounts.
And...
Considering Neptune is the 3rd strongest adventurer in the country ( excluding the MC ) he 100% should have been able too
So he really doesn't have an excuse not to try and save them other than being a prick.
@Goldenzeal theres also the issue that he'd not have support from his waifus if he went to the dungeon, as they are mages. They work as a team so its normal to have your strategies disrupted when they cant use magic at all. Besides the MC who is just cheat level OP, other people know being careless even if you are strong can result into death.
What I wonder is how they even got past the first monster into the dungeon without noticing they couldnt use magic...
At least to me, it was implied that it just happened a few moments ago.
So they most likely were already inside when magic decided to nope out and they had to leg it. ( basically, they should have taken the day off instead of risking working anyway )
That´s why the mage believes there is still a small change to save his friend because it happened just recently.
The real question is how one of them got out when the other one did not.
Couldn't they both just run the heck away together or there something that prevented her from escaping?
If there wasn't something physically preventing the one that got left behind, I can´t think of a logical reason why only one of them got out ( without the other already being dead. )
I love this Neptune guy. This man has good common sense just because Ryouta's morality is modern doesn't mean everyone has to follow it don't give me the bullshit reason that its wrong not to help if you could. I mean people like that exists but you shouldn't always expect someone to help you because its the right thing to do. An old man I know subdued someone with a firearm on the train and the passengers instead of saying thank you just said please don't make it any worse like this person just prevented a potential death and did the right thing and they have the audacity to say something like that only because he already removed the danger. If he never subdued the person with the gun they would not even have the strength to speak up. People like them look for an easier target to blame because they couldn't say it to the firearm holder.... Well in the otherhand morality is a fickle thing and a complicated thing to talk about. We all have our own morals and shouldn't push it to others so take what I said with a grain of salt
Well, I was hoping MC would've just let the matter slip. Some things just need to be respected, followed to the letter. You think you're hot stuff, things don't apply to you? Well, you could choose to believe that, but please don't involve others when your magnificent plan goes down the toilet.
Meh this guy is correct though since most ppl is not having such convinient cheat from other world and making use of it like ryouta does. Its basically too risky for anyone beside him, and adventurer is indeed a job that you must be prepared to die anytime

Despite hating him, I agree with gay guy on this matter.
Ryouta is the only person that can take the risk because both his STR and HP are maxed and if all else fails he has his elemental bullets that are equivalent to cast magic, so in other words Ryouta is the only person in this world that can use "magic" during the magical storm.
