Not really, Evans is famous across the West and Ted is completely unknown, and they're in the same profession. That's like having Mick Jagger in front of you together with the singer of an unknown band that hasn't released a single album. Obviously anyone would assume any fan looked up to Mick. The whole thing is pretty contrived as well in order to make the joke work. Why would a shy fan be so bold as to whisper in Ted's ear? Why would a shy fan openly laugh at the teacher and employer of their object of admiration? Why would she laugh at Evans when she and Ted are the ones who created the misunderstanding? Why wouldn't she just explain instead of laughing more? It's all pretty stupid.
also, i've met a couple of famous people (not actors, but people in my field that often give autographs/signings) who have assumed I wanted an autograph, and when I clarified they were suitably embarrassed. it's a thing
and are you saying ted is not absolutely precious? (he's fine)
That’s so embarrassing. I could feel it pierce through me. It’s like accidentally confessing to your crush back in highschool or chanting the Black Sacrament instead of the national anthem.
