The point of her character is to have a character who can see through the lies and affect the plot because of it.
Which I welcome, the plot style did not change for 70 chapters so any refreshment is good imo.

I don´t like her, but I agree with you that the plot has run stale and a change of pace was necessary.

However, so far she´s only been a Mary Sue whose recurring schtick is to be omniscient and mockingly smirk at the main duo´s shenanigans in the background. And the plot remains the same.

Nona doesn't change the status quo, so her introduction and longevity in every chapter since her introduction is not needed. She's not "bad,' but she's not even a 'character' so far. She's only shown smug smirks, and her near grinding on Ted (another character who doesn't change or advance the plot, but his schtick has always been that he's super naive and takes Evan's word for fact 100% of the time, like every single other character in the series, as was mangas gimmick.) Nona is just the narrator box, but without the meta humor. If she had a real character/dialogue she'd be without problem.

I am pretty much fine with her appearance so far and don't think she is intruding too much. Well, atm at very least.
