i really wish this series would do more arcs instead of one-offs.
mathy arc. sandra arc. belle the cat arc. don't look down on sheriffs arc.
those are all rereadable and memorable. the one-offs aren't bad, but they lack enough originality in each to really stick. they're all pretty much one-off gags.

not to say that one-offs are impossible to do. take kino's journey as an example. the LN for that is pretty much all one-offs, and yet it spends enough time making each one interesting and unique that they're memorable (maybe that makes them all into arcs).
- moving country, cannibal couple, cannibal slave traders, gladiator king assassination, the flute, volcano eruption, telepathy country, to name just a few that i can think of right now.
kino's journey is great.

this is not that. this doesn't spend enough time on each one-off, and so almost all of them are forgettable and skippable. the arcs, however, stick with me. especially mathy for some reason.

i'd really appreciate more plot development. this is the opposite of isekais where the stakes get higher every arc; the stakes are exactly the same here at ch. 175 as they were in the beginning.

also ted's girlfriend jennifer got offscreened, but nona is funny so that was an honorable sacrifice.
