Why do the Japanese always do endings like this? I get it, POWER OF LOVE and whatever but if he's a god/devil who has the power why didn't he just fix everything? Why did he only fix like 1 thing? If he came back again at the end so he could bang her, won't they just have more kudan shenanigans in the future?

@Asidokuye

It's less satisfying than switch witch's non-ending since that one was pretty screwed and they admitted they were just salvaging what they could, even if the final boss was defeated too easily. In this one he was the final boss, but it was also another part of him and then society also. And then he had the power to do something? But didn't reset everything? It's unclear the extent of the kudan powers and it's unsatisfying when an MC is given ultimate power and it's much less impressive than when the bad guy was using the same power.

My opinion: Wild ride, was fun when crazy stuff happened and idk why Japanese people weren't interested enough to keep it interesting and not go down the gutter (I'm making an assumption here based that it wasn't very well received) because I don't want to believe this is all the author could come up with, maybe he got tired and canned it himself, who knows. I just know I liked the characters and wanted to see them again, alive.

@everyone here and future readers: No problem, thanks for going on this ride with me!

@Alexanpt honestly me too ... if you think about it 50% of manga here will never make it in the west and will only be loved in websites like these also that ending felt rushed and left behind some unanswered questions

@WeeBDestroyer My friend has a theory that this Hikaru Tsujimoto will be the last because this Hikaru experienced true love and the kindness of friends, whereas the others only saw and experienced horrible things and this is the reason he is an abnormal Hikaru Tsujimoto and made a choice completely different to all others (assuming.) But 🤷‍♀️

I get that the main theme is the cycle of fate and the value of humanity. It kinda implies that all of Hikaru Tsujimoto personas ultimately decided to not erase the humans. In the case of main character, he decided that the life of the girl and all of his memories are still more valuable than all the shitty things in the world.

However, I do agree that the ending felt kinda rushed and feels a bit "meh", compared to the usual "huh?"

The "Every Kudan ultimately decided to save the humans" thing is a nice ending, but everything in these last 4 chapters was rushed A LOT compared with the rest of the manga. "Puff! World saved" Eeeeeh...

@Alexanpt but remember in a previous chapter it was told that a psy Hikaru did disappear once and there were no calamities that year. So was that an “abnormal” Hikaru too? did he experienced love too? Someone needs to contact the author and ask him wtf he was writing UnU

@Danox94 Yeah... I still wonder about that. What if someone from that era realized it (like prof. Tachibana) and managed to make him disappear? I'd like to know what happened. That could have possibly been a prequel and another wild ride. 😅

Would have liked the manga more if instead of going on the "world ends" route it kinda kept on following a Final Destination with a japanese mythology twist.

Just keep all the "Hikaru is in reality a Kudan that can exist or completely cease existing" part and scale it down to a friends and family level.

I'll kinda plagiarize this story if I ever have to write something similar, for sure.
