And that's it ? I'm pretty disappointed. When I read her on Twitter saying she's adding another chapter for the ending I was hoping for something more... decent?
This is the second work where she works solo on the drawing and the story, (the other one was the one with the two office ladies), it shows that she is an average/bad writer and specially when you read the end. Bad thinking diary wasn't perfect either, again the ending was disappointing, but you had this sense of accomplishment (a little)? But here that doesn't work. I feel like it's missing one or two other chapters to properly end. I'm not asking for a happy ending since it's a drama/NTR....Really, NTR is trash. I don't know why people like this bullshit. A waste of time for everyone except for perverts.
It would be great if we saw what happened to Anna and not having Lily persuade herself that what the duchess is giving her it's love.
This is clearly some sort of fetish porn for ntr fans. That is big in Korea from what I understand. So much weird porn over there. I've read a lot of porn, not going to lie, and I've seen all of this before. There's a lesbian vampire hentai that's very similar to this one, even the ending. It feels like the author just read a lot of hentai and decided to steal everything from there, but removed all the fun parts.

Everything about this sucks. Just dumb characters and non-stop, joyless sex. I really don't get why she would even make this. She knew a lot of people would follow her from BTD, and we didn't want to read this garbage. But after seeing all the comments on social media about her, I guess this is her thing.

If she doubles down on Rose being cruel rather than just staring the whole series or Lily gets to see her dad or Anna then see them heartbroken because of her and blames herself after, it would be much more impactful. It's not that it'll be better tho.
The whole experience of reading this is like try eating your favorite food, chicken noodles, in a different shop. Sometimes you find good chicken noodles cooked with different recipes and sometimes it's unfortunate that it's completely tasteless.

sigh…this artist is so good at drawing but why are their stories so bad. Yet I always read them 🙂‍↕️

This story is one of the worst I've read recently, and not because of the NTR. Even in comparison to NTR hentai or Pornwha, the characters and storyline were beyond subpar. I found the final chapter laughably bad and felt no emotional engagement throughout the plot's runtime, which is unusual for these types of stories.

It's embarrassing, especially given the author's criticism of Bad Thinking Diary. If they consider this an improvement, I'm at a loss. Thankfully, they were only the artist for that series; otherwise, I fear the outcome. The characters here resemble those from BTD, as well (just swap pink hair for red). Is this really what she wanted for that series too? She's apparently also worked on other suspect series as well outside the girls love genre. This is utterly forgettable, but I hope the author enjoyed creating it. I won't be following their future work. Being able to draw doesn't mean you can also write. That should be obvious but here it needs saying again.

I read this out of curiosity to see the ending but I’d pretty much checked out mentally a couple chapters in.

I have a hard time understanding who exactly this story is supposed to satisfy. Could even NTR enjoyers be happyvwith this plot?

The MC is insipid and spineless, being pushed and pulled by whichever character she is currently interacting with. She’s like a doll, only reacting to what is happening around her and never driving the plot itself. Anna also seemed to have given up even before the story started so it was hard to root for her; either way, glad she got the fuck out of there and is hopefully leading a much happier life elsewhere. Obv I don’t really like the Duchess either lol. These characters have so few likable traits it almost feels like its on purpose?

Can’t believe the MC went through all that with the Duchess and somehow thought she would suddenly go monogamous for her.
The Duchess didn’t even chase after her when she ran away lol. And with the letter the MC received from her father, she could literally just go back home but she decided to stay.

The art is great ofc but the story was lackluster LOL what a waste girl. Its a shame cause I actually like Bad Thinking Diary, some of the drama is convoluted but it was overall an enjoyable read. This one not so much.
She didn't write BTD. Just did the art.

I was being hyperbolic with the "shoulder shrug". I am glad you got something out of this. Also I think it's fine to express dissatisfaction to the author about their work as long as it's done constructively and respectfully.
Constructive and respectful...on the internet? seems legit :pepela:

thank you for the chapter, lol she got yuri served of course Rose would have a type. The mental breakdown there at the end leading to the well if I can't replace the orgy I can at least be part of it resignation/realization was a suitable close for how this series has progressed.

Well I guess that's it. Damn I thought it was just going to end with Lily in despair of not making the right choice, not her continuing to gaslight herself. We didn't even get to see Anna get a happy ending :meguuusad:
Thank you for the update!

Welp, I'm fairly sure this author can't write a decent story, but at least the smut is still top tier.
Thanks for the TL & your hardwork!

You mean adults expressing their opinion about a story they didn't like on a forum dedicated to just that. How weird. Listen, buddy, just because other people disagree with you doesn't make them anything negative. The arguments presented here are good and well-supported. Use your words, not insults. You can enjoy your bad porn as much as you want; no one is saying otherwise.

I believe I can shed some light on this. It's important to remember that we're reading this because someone illegally translated it for us. The primary customer base for this story is Korean, and we only know about it because Rangrarii gained fame from her success as the artist of "Bad Thinking Diary," a global hit.

Korea produces an absurd amount of pornographic comics each year, commonly referred to as "pornwha." These often feature little to no plot and focus heavily on sex. They frequently contain themes of cheating, rape, and the portrayal of women as objects to be conquered and driven by lust. To be honest, Korean comics tend to be quite misogynistic.

The primary readers of these comics are young Korean men who are primarily interested in the sexual content. They do not care about the plot or any deeper elements.

That might sound judgmental or like I dislike men, but that's really the honest truth. She's writing an NTR pornwha for young men who enjoy seeing sex, cheating, rape and such things and she gave them a super shallow plot to justify showing the sex scenes. She was just unlucky that the story was picked up by translators, as I don't think this kind of story has much appeal outside of Korea—at least not in its current form.

100%. Audiences got mismatched. Even for a Pornwha I think it's not good, but it wouldn't get this much attention if she didn't draw for BTD. That ended up being a very sharp, double-edged sword.

I always thought about it, but rangrari as an author is lacking in many ways. If BTD didn't have the art it got it wouldn't even be half as popular... same goes for her other works. Ig it's pretty art privilege?

I think this mismatched audience thing makes a lot of sense because this was clearly not meant for me. I found it vile and disgusting. I only started reading it because of Bad Thinking Diary. You won't catch me reading her stories again.

But a lot of this confuses me. As a writer and artist myself, a lot of it seems very sloppy. Story-wise, she was clearly trying to do more, and there was a lot she could have done with this that she didn't. With 35 chapters and less focus on sex, this could have been a very interesting story. But it was like she introduced a plot device in one chapter and then did nothing with it. She did this over and over. The drawings were also sloppy, especially towards the end. There were plenty of mistakes in the background, the dresses, the angles the characters were standing at, and their accessories. If you compare the start to the end, some characters, especially Anna, were drawn much better at the beginning. Maybe that was a conscious choice, but who knows? It didn't seem like her heart was in this story at all.

I also found it so gosh darn weird that people actually like the sexual content in this story. Lily never seems to enjoy it. She looks constantly uncomfortable around Rose. Rose looks bored or like she's training a dog. It was just ugly.

She didn't write BTD, but in a visual media that's meant to sell then.. yeah... better art will attract more sales. I don't think it's "privilege" rather than skill there.

Using japanese media as an example, One Punch Man's original comic didn't have nearly the sheer amount of audience until it was adapted by Yuusuke Murata.

The only thing I'd refute here is that this is definitely true for some platforms (i.e. toptoon and toomics being absolutely catered to a male audience) but not necessarily the case in broad strokes. Lezhin (where BTD was published) targets a large female reader base, and I believe Bomtoon also follows suit. That said, I'm not certain where ridibooks (where LotV was published) stands on this spectrum.

This is, of course, not getting into the nuances of social issues in korea and their wildly fucked stance on feminism and gender issues that are surely part of the problem.

It seems pointless to "refute" this. Clearly, this story isn't meant for women, but for horny guys who like NTR.
