Here is the thing though... she's been with him since he was a child. She took him to the bathroom, slept in the same house... they've been together for so long and even go into each other's places like nothing... they've been together and were raised together to the point where they were practically family.

Hell, when she had study groups, he was still there with them.... they objectively had a sibling relationship....

Even if they aren't legally related, their relationships as siblings would have been almost exactly the same even if they were blood related...

She IS family... regardless of his feelings... they were raised together and were always together his entire life...

She was a great older sister to him....
