@anakskul ,
Oh don't be sorry, you're not obliged to reply immediately or even at all, but that's polite and kind of you to feel that way and share your insights, so thank you!
For the influence, since Solit is only 50% and wasn't Kamiyu introduced herself as the guild leader?
Yes, but she didnt know the circumstance about MC party ( Amy & Garm ) she only know solit want to interview his party but she knew they priority is amy and gram
Erm... my question was actually that if Solit is 50% and Kamiyu is 50%, Solit is accusing MC of the bad things while Kamiyu has joined MC's party to clear his name (to be elaborated in my next reply to your reply), if 100% of public people would definitely react and they would react based on Solit's and Kamiyu's stance accordingly, wouldn't it be at least some amount of people (which would have been more than what was shown) who believe Kamiyu would decide to at least stay neutral and observe for the time being?
With Kamiyu as the leader, being influential and strong, decided to join MC would have been a clear sign that on behalf of the guild she's on MC's side, isn't it?
No, because that secret deal, contract save MC from people who use violence. Kamiyu doing this to know the detail, is really amy get blackmail or it just hoax.
Erm... ch11pg7 Kamiyu already stated that she verified with Amy and was brought to attention about MC's innocence, acknowledged that it's forgery, apologized and decided to take full responsibility to help MC clearing his name while the amendment negotiations with Solit is ongoing. This means that Kamiyu already believed Amy, Garm and MC, and she joined MC's party to the dungeon with personal interests in MC and the motivation to take full responsibility in helping MC to clear his name.
Secret deal or not, what I meant was that since Kamiyu was already publicly seen that she has joined MC's party and she's on good terms with MC, like ch11pg15, ch14pg21 and ch15pg23, if Kamiyu is regarded as the 50% influential credible guild leader, wouldn't people who have some trust in Kamiyu at least doubt the allegation after they witnessed Kamiyu together with MC+Garm on good terms with each other? Because if Kamiyu believe the allegation and not MC, as the guild leader and superior of Amy and Garm, she wouldn't behave like she's on good terms with MC especially not in public.
Anyway, I understand your explanations and they make sense to some degree, especially if it's set in a presumably less civilized society in the fictional world, but I guess it's just so unconvincing because it's very much based on an one-sided allegation and public opinions without solid evidence or testimony from the victims (either Amy or Garm) + dramatized public reactions to a nobody (I feel that most people would be observing or indifferent to the case, but in the story even the store owner said *every* adventurer she came across believe the allegation on ch12pg23) + low social status of white mages which would make them not threatening (which is why I feel public reactions are dramatized because rationally people would think about how did a weak white mage manage to blackmail a strong fighter in the first place, doubt it and then decide to observe further, like how Garm questioned the assumption of MC had a way to blackmail Amy on ch12pg23), especially if they actually have the means and intentions to verify. With that said, perhaps it just is what it is, without proper protocols like what we have in modern society, I guess most people in that fictional society would behave like how people in the past that got emotionally manipulated to carry out the witch hunt, and also maybe their societal structure probably has a different system that basically only prioritize and worship strong/powerful people, which makes MC with a low social standing basically stripped of most rights and credibility.
