@Kizuro All three of the roles in the trinity kind of can't get anything done at all if any one person in another role is doing something stupid enough to fuck things up. I suppose it's generally more noticable for the tanks and healers because the majority of people are picking DPS classes, so they probably get a higher percentage of idiots. But at the same time, there's probably a somewhat larger number of self-important twats in the tanking and healing roles because they are kind of harder to come by. As always the best option is running with people you know already, even if somebody screws up it's easier to forgive them and they might actually listen to advice instead of acting like a gift from god just for having existed at all.

@Glomoro Yeah I know. I mostly play as a Support or Tank in most of the game I play. And most of the time the one being the retarded one was the DPS. No matter how successful you are in your role, if they fail the we all fail.

@Kizuro I've been enjoying games like Destiny 2 a lot lately. Each of the three classes sort of has a classic trinity leaning in its design there, but it doesn't usually matter at all if there's one or two of them missing in a team. More or less just 1-6 people maybe being wary of mechanics a particular location utilizes to try and kill you all by whatever means each of them has. The class specific abilities are kind of just icing on the cake. Nobody has to spend half their time meant for a dungeon run or two just looking for the other people to even be able to run it.

@Ricusem
Yes: https://www.novelupdates.com/series/live-dungeon/
But it doesn't appear to be translated very far (latest chapter is right after the interview with Solit company) nor very actively (last chapter was translated in November)

@Glomoro @Kizuro the thing with this manga is that Japanese/Korean/Chinese RPG are designed very differently from Western RPG. If you have ever played any of those you'll see end game raid/dungeon LFG always have a specific class they're looking for.

The thing is, this system is not a good thing in competitive PvP environment due to the salty nature, if someone fucks up once, people are less likely to just "don't mind" and try again (I mean you can't even try again if you lose), I hated how modern moba relies too much on this system and design the characters specifically for a single role.

Back in the Dota (OG) days the concept of Tank/DPS/Support was not an offical thing but more of players figuring it out themselves.
For example a STR hero gets bonus damage from STR items, but since those stats also increase their HP they "naturally" becomes a tank, an AGI hero can "naturally" be a DPS because building AGI will increase both their damage and attack speed, but there's some STR type hero with high damage skills, but high mana cost and low MP pool, so they build INT/STR hybrid items to compensate and becomes a caster.

@saito197 Yeah, I'm not big on the mobas I've seen, that whole PvP centric bit of things is part of the reason. I've got nothing against PvP and all, some of my best gaming memories were in pvp play. But I prefer it to be the optional side objective of a game rather than the main dish, particularly since people get too high strung and serious about it. I can practically hear some guy screeching on a voice chat to follow his directions in a PUG PvP team, right now. You know, the ones that act like they're some grand tactician in a freakin' capture the flag game with strangers.

It seems like people in the comments forgot that the MC wanted to boost healer reputation cause from floor 70 they are REQUIRED as main party members as well as tanks! So far essentially the clans have been brute forcing progress with DPS classes. However just like many Asian RPGs, they punish you if on the early levels you didn't balance out your party.

In regards to the party, the MC thought that since the contract is up and they are guild staff they wouldn't just quit their job to join his party. In the novel his thinking is that HE won't be around forever. His plan is to return to Earth but he forgot that his party members think he is a resident of the world.

Also it seems like either the translation suffered somewhat in this chapter. It's OK to take more time to release chapters if we get a more accuret translation.
