I don't have high expectations from this one, something tells me his party members are his new family in this new "not really real world" world and he's able to use the game system in this "not really real world" world.

The MC finished SAO Aincrad arc with his party and reincarnated into parallel Japan?

Also this manga premise is kinda the same as "Kyuuseishu ≪MESHIA≫~Isekai wo Sukutta Moto Yuusha ga Mamono no Afureru Genjitsu Sekai wo Musou Suru~"

Both reincarnated into parallel Japan after getting killed ( and there's a picture of a girl with sword, so I guess its the world with people awakening their power) and still retain their previous power.

Yeah... because setting death flags isn't common in Japan.

I don't care what other say, That Orc King as the first boss, is reference to SAO first boss Illfang the Cobolt lord..
Even if the race is different the look is similar

Yeah when something like Pear Vision Pro or NerveGear appears, I don't think I want to be among the first ones to try them.

I do like how their gear developed between first fight and last fight though. At least one good point. :aquadrink:

I will say at least they had it so the party members got ressed at the end, I was like oh the standard death tropes here. Also why VR controllers in full dive stuff? Makes no sense.

Why would someone even use VR controllers lying on the bed? The whole point of VR, at least how it is in reality, is that you can move your body and those movements get transferred to the game. For that to work not only do you need the space to move around but obviously the mobility. Lying on a bed counteracts that. If the manga wanted to just copy SAO's style of VR there would be no need for controllers since everything happens in the users head.

The only reason I could imagine, if I really tried to, would be to configure the system. Perhaps you first only get video and audio the traditional way (like you were using RL VR headset), and you need to enter info, like account log in information and such, by using the controllers, the manual way. It's also possible to imagine you'd need to use them to verify correct direct brain interface behavior for the full dive system. So, the system would keep asking the user if they hear sound correctly from different directions, if they see correctly, if they feel correctly, and so forth, as the integration progresses. If something went wrong, the system could self-diagnose and change settings to fix the situation. With the traditional controllers, the user could always give feedback, until the final, complete deep dive happened.

I could see that as a reason but then why not as gloves or the like? I think they just wanted to be lazy and used what looks like traced versions of the Occulus controllers.
