Generally, something like this is only removed if the translation quality is really, really low - specifically, the rules mention machine translations (and given how good MTLs are getting these last couple years, I think they mostly mean 'obviously bad' MTLs). If it's plausible that a human did it, then I think the staff usually lets it live.

I checked the rules (no i didn't) but the staffs did say mtl & sniping is fine. Like okay fine. Like they dont care abt it fine. 😢

iirc acloudmerge is just a site for raws. i've seen it from other TLs when they couldn't get a hold of HQ scans.

i honestly have nothing against "sniping". i think scanlation being mostly a personal effort, anyone should be allowed to submit their work. it's just really annoying when "snipers" do it maliciously. it's clear that this TL was made just to disrupt the readers and other TL group.

if you want attention so much, just upload it to an aggregator site where mtl slop is preferred for faster releases.

Now that I think about it, half the reason I made a mangadex account was to see my favorite stories in my second language and discuss them with a audience from a different culture than my own and be exposed to those perspectives. For that reason, I've appreciated this community in general but especially the TL groups who often put tons of labor into an accurate representation of the original works.

All that yapping just to say this isn't that lol. No one can stop you from uploading poorly scanned images full of watermarks and untranslated hanzi, no one can stop you from messing up the phrasing and no one can stop you from inexplicably uploading something fifty chapters ahead of where the last one left off. Just know that even if you think this is a "two cakes" situation it honestly does nothing more than disappoint readers, and low-key disrespects an entire language.
