I haven't read that work, only the description and nothing occurs to me other than checking tracker sites using the data filter. For example, the year Jungle Taitei started. There's good period manga in the 70s and 80s, but I have no idea that early. Those were the years of Astro Boy too!

Can you recommend me some?
Of course! I'll make a list, but I have to warn they're intended only for mature audiences:
  • Kujakuou Denki - This is one of the main inspirations of Hirohiko Araki for Jojo Bizzare Adventure Part 1.
  • Son Goku - The work that inspired Toriyama Akira's Dragon Ball.
  • Tatamidori Kasajirou - The protagonist is an Edo's "policeman" who works with his wife.
  • Kei no Seishun - A young samurai trying to find his girlfriend. Many volumes to read.
  • Kai no Tora: Takeda Shingen - An absolute must read of Takeda Shingen, someone who could have become the one who unified Japan.
  • Kubikiri Asa - The life of the Shogun's executioner and the stories of those who executes.
  • Other period stories, you can find them by using the author's name, most of his works were done alongside the same artist. The duo is composed of Koike Kazuo and Kojima Goseki. An example where the artist changes, Katakoi Saburou.

Thanks a lot.

But actually I am looking for 4-koma - comedy - (realistically)historical manga-like. But still interesting. I already know some of these titles/authors.

Maybe this link to a compilation helps, as I don't remember the names of the works I may have a vague image that fit that description.
