Looking for : Works with "This person was a nicer than I thought he was." trope

I want you guys to recommend me works (could be anime, manga or novel) where some character would be introduced as ominous, menacing or edgy when it turns out that the character have his own reason for doing what he did. Examples would be : "Sangatsu no Lion", "Kimetsu no Yaiba", "Bokura no Kiseki" and "ib - Instant Bullet".

In all of the above manga, the trope would come up multiple times on several characters. It's like that's the theme of the work.
