Not necessarilyOkay so I can definitely scratch out that Kou was Yakuza that's for damn sure, and also pretty obvious that those two are close I mean for Goura to call him Kou-kun that action right there tells you how close they were, but it raises more questions
I never thought of that🤔Not necessarily
He might be one of those delusional "noble yakuza" and Goura was angry for the comparison to the "scum" yakuza
Remember that this place is outside space time. Mc could very well meet his daughter here. The revival simply revives you at the point in time of when you died. The world is still going on and you could even have people from the future popping up. For all we know Kou could have been here for 1000 years but died 2 years before Mc.If Kou’s from modern times, feels like he could be part of a gang. Thinking something like Tokyo Revengers in terms of how much of a “big deal” that gang could have been. Otherwise, maybe Kou was some kind of “young master” type of guy, considering how young he seemed to have been when he died? I’m assuming Goura is an adult in this case, if he isn’t just a particularly tall peer of Kou’s (and didn’t have his height modified).
Considering Goura’s admiration for Kou and his disgust towards the Yakuza, feels like Kou could have been an admirable and kind person in the past, but his time in this world made him cruel and hedonistic. If so, it looks like he’s being set up to be a foil to the MC.
Yep,seen this trope a few too many times in mangaGaura is definitely a girl, very bulky yandere. Calling it now!
