Yeah, the wrestler guy could be a double agent of some sort. Maybe he wants to gather intel on the protagonist's little rebel group first, and then present it to little Kou to gain favours. This manga is not stranger to major betrayals.

I have faith in Kido. He's a heel; his role in a wrestling match is to be the bad guy so that the good guys can shine brighter. He might throw the MC under the bus at some point, and it'll look like betrayal, but it'll work out. I believe in End Mask.
