Ah, I've been waiting months for this chapter.
So yeah, this changes a lot. Lilith is (mostly) free, walking the world as flesh and blood again, no longer just a funny talking statue. Though that freedom comes at a high cost of demeaning labor every day—she still does it, though, because after getting a taste of freedom and finally just relaxing for a bit with friends, getting to experience the outside world again with all five senses after being sealed away so long , she doesn't want to go back to her sealed space. She'll put up with it. Things are never going to be the same again.
Not to mention the sacrifice she was prepared to make to save Shamiko; her friend, her family, the one person who respects her. We get to see a whole other side to Lilith; not petty and scheming, but caring, terrified that the most precious person in the world to her is dying and she's willing to make the ultimate sacrifice to save her beloved descendant.
The first time I read it, even barely understanding the raws, I gained a whole new respect for her.
