Just wanna drop my short opinion piece, in this abandoned bucket:
The story starts out with a lengthy exposition, and heavy characterization of the MC as "THE HUNTER", his 1st, and especially his 2nd majik catch, was emphasized to be due to his experience as a hunter (he stalked and researched the lightning-fox for a whole day) ---
But from there? Nothing. Straight up jumping at the majik's face, using all of his explosive magical spells he acquired. No stealth, no stalking, no studying, no preparing traps, nothing. Just full-blown shounen fights with his dick out. What the fuck happened?
Also, what was the point of having a "HUNTER", if the method of capture is arbitrary and whimsical? What does a hunter have to do, with fashioning a dress for a majik? Or "fighting sorrow"? Few majiks would ever have capture-criteria that are hunter friendly. It can easily be: "solve this math problem". The idea that "The MC captures them so fast...! It's because he's a hunter...! Some take years...!" -- ends up complete bogus.
This story has a lot of exposition, and tries to lift the main characters high up in the air, but fails in terms of the actual world-building and lore -- since we sure as hell don't see anyone really struggling.
P.S: People arguing in the comments about "Majo" or "Madan" and I'm like....Really? That's what's bugging you?

BROOO THE VOLUME 6 COVER IS FIRE
Comedy doesn't fit very well into seriousness.It basically just made it hard to take seriously.Super duper happy go lucky.
This is basically a "shonen" "shonen"
It's so genericly shonen that its really boring.Although everything is painted with a "witch" coating,you can still see right through it.
And the "male witch" bit wasn't really done well.If women dominated the world,why do none of them feel like he is "below" them?
I'm not asking all the women to be 2d villains,there's just none who are opposed to it at all,considering hes the first in this society.
And the most important question:why?
Why do the majik only accept women?
And why is Uroro an exception?They dont talk about it at all,but im hoping they eventually do.
