I think the manga covers up to the end of volume 5 of the light novel. Though I suggest you read from the beginning because some details were cut out in the manga.
Manga was too fast-paced, many things were left out and plot lines were skipped or skimmed through. You're better off reading the LN for the full satisfaction.
This manga is just a boring ass blueball. Heroines wear fanservice armor but there is no romance at all, no fucking at all! To the rubbish bin it goes!
This manga is a terrible adaptation. Just read the light novel on Baka tsuki. For one some scenes are done out of order compared to the novel for absolutely no reason. They skip like 50%+ of all the content of the novel and it feels like they are trying to speed run the novel. Some of these are actually important details that are needed to make proper sense. They skip a bunch of minor romance development. The really shorten important fights and just sum them up in a few panels and skip any interesting details. In one chapter they summed up a bandit fight from the novel that lasted multiple chapters into one panel of “they fought the bandits and won. THE END”. The hell is that. That’s actually a very important fight where the main character gets his first taste of trying to lead an army and he also observes Rim to learn from her.
