This might be another Yanmaga classic in the making. Saw this manga trending on X. Looks pretty goofy. I'll keep on reading.

Edit: after finishing the chapter, that seems to be the entire gimmick.
Is there a name for this? Getting turned on by working out?

Don’t do this, y’all. Overstraining your muscles can very easily lead to serious injuries, and then all the hard work you put into getting stronger is wasted as you have to recover.
If something feels too difficult, don’t be afraid to change something up. Lower your resistance, the number of reps, or just stop entirely if you have to.

Also, bit of a nitpick, but never, never lock your knees on a leg press machine like that. If your legs give out or something otherwise goes wrong, and you come crashing back down, your knees will be obliterated.
Whereas if you keep your legs slightly bent, they’ll just bend all the way and your knees will be completely fine
Locking out on leg press, hack squat or any squat variation is completely fine. It is only a problem if you forcefully lock out.

Also, if someone does any kind of calf raise variation they will know if their knees can tolerate added resistance at that angle or not.

Also, it is very hard to to intentionally lock out too. As squat is more challenging at the bottom because of the quadriceps, glutes and adductors being on stretch, you are gonna put more force to get out of the bottom so your body will slow down naturally near the top as it won't sense much resistance whatsoever.
