The sewing machine there was probably made with the predecessors abilities, so it might have effects that somehow make it useful alongside their magic crafting powers I guess. Like in a video game when you craft an armor set or tools with crafting bonuses on them.

Kind of funny the Japanese writing system allows him to make better and more efficient things than the predecessor when in reality people in Japan are still learning how to read and write in the university, whereas in many other countries kids may know how to read even before going to the elementary school. I wonder just what kind of a super bothersome language the predecessor was stuck with.

Or could he transform the CO2 and H2O in the air into glucose, like plants do? That and water would sustain him for a bit longer to search more of the facility instead of using a rusty old teleporter. Or is he performing physical changes instead of chemical ones?

@Kaarme To be fair, learning how to read and write japanese is WAY harder than most other countries' languages. Specially when compared to languages that use latin/roman alphabet.
But I agree that It's funny how japenese is more 'efficient' than the predecessor's language. I mean, the japanese writing system is anything BUT efficient. lol

Efficient here likely means purely character count. Not this series but in Kenja no Mago enchanting is limited my character count depending by item. So i think it's not a stretch to apply this here. Though on reality you'll probably run into storage space vs processing power tradeoff just like on real world programming.

Doing work high up on buildings without stuff tied to anything is rather a bit irresponsible for a professional—not because you'll be a fool and dive after the tool like this chap, but because falling metal tools kill people.
