Doesn’t want to build guns due to pressure and gunpowder being a pain in the ass. Builds Jet propelled plane. Pretty sure a fueled jet and trying maintaining proper pressurization and fluid flows is way harder then making sure chamber pressure for a firearm. That’s my 2 cents. - Mechanical Engineering student.
P.S fluid mechanics and heat transfer is prob your worse classes

@Dookix - MC's devices consist of equal parts overengineering and magic. For example, there is no proper fuel in that jet engine - it is powered by magic.
If he made a gun with this ethos, it would be a giant laser, not a pocket pistol.

@flannan , @Dookix : I think his issue is more the gun powder as you need something that either acts as an explosive like black powder or when ignited very quickly burns creating a lot of gas like modern gun powder, and his handyman tendencies does not really cover those formulas.

It would probably be easier for him to build a Gauss Rifle since that is magnetic propulsion, but only if he understands those principals.
