well i can say you guys are wrong but this is slightly different from the ln so i might be wrong too but in the ln that chest is

basically it was a trap chest that spawn a lewd slime which not a suprised for eroge because the player after defeating the boss (since the og scenario it was supposed to be way later when the game mc has enough strength) and let one of the heroine fall for the said trap to enjoy the cg) so kousuke used this to trap the boss but because he was near it he was trap as well i forgot how he was rescued but it was humiliating enough that he seal his memory of it (and this is not going to be the last as well since there is many lewd and weird dungeon that kousuke sacrifice himself too)
