That's what I'm referring to, yeah. I've actually redrawn a few places where the vertical seemed to really detract, or when I wanted my hand drawn text to mimic the style the original had without an awkward white bubble. The "endless love is conveyed" panel, for example. Or Tei's hair in one panel. The "omg Tei" panel with Mihona. A few others. Or erasing some of the annoying expository editor text that most official English versions tend to also erase. The issue is simply that it takes forever. I'm doing everything on a cellphone with my stubby thumbs. No AI to help.]assuming the problem is not about the effort of redrawing the page behind the areas that text is no longer covering, which if it is - totally fair. I just used an AI tool to do it but typically those either aren't free or are limited in usages per day).
That said, I am trying to do more horizontal. The trade-off is widening some of the white space when it works okay to do so. The cover to 46.2 is one example. The original has a transparent speech bubble where it says "STOP" but I thought it looked better to fill it in and have the English text like it is rather than blop it over with only partial transparent. I'd say the most of 46 is horizontal even. Trying to keep the vertical to more of a last resort.
Cool to see how easy it is to have AI handle it, at any rate.
