It made me remember how manga translator 20 years ago did it, when they still gave a fuck about what they were doing. We had 1/2 pages at the start of the manga of pure Japanese lore to explain every jokes we couldn't understand otherwise.

Thanks for the quality work as usual.

Btw that horse is suspiciously too well drawn. :pepehmm:

I thought the doctor was a very strong priest, maybe a mage... But who would've guessed he was a wizard.

Thank you very much for the scanlation. :bocchiwave:

The difficulty figuring out a species name for incubus/succubus made me laugh because I know how impossible it is. The originating term Incubus literally means "one (male) who lies upon" in Latin referring to a male demon who did night visits to horny women during medieval times. Succubus being a corruption/modification literally meaning "one (male)who who lies beneath" and used for the female version. Yes, the terms Incubus and Succubus actually describes if a male demon is a top or bottom. The actual Latin would be Incuba/Succuba meaning "one (female) who lies upon/beneath."

Species terms that have been used for these things have been Mare and Dream Demon.

Well, 'Concubus' also has latin roots, 'Concubare' (to lie down together with/ to have sexual intercourse with)

Which I congratulate you for coming up with. That would mean the full list of "proper" species terms would be:

Concubus - male sex demon
Concubera - female sex demon
Concubi - multiple sex demons
Incubus - male sex demon that tops
Incuba - female sex demon that tops
Incubi - multiple sex demons that top
Succubus - male sex demon that bottoms
Succuba - female sex demon that bottoms
Succubi - multiple sex demons that bottom

Edit - I just realized I might have messed up the feminine form.

=.= =.=
Concubus (sing) gender neutral
Concubi (plu) gender neutral
Succubus (sing) female
Succubi (plu) female
Incubus (sing) male
Incubi (plu) male

And i didn't came up with 'Concubus'. The term exist.
As I've explained in the translation note, Think of 'concubus' as the race and 'succubus/incubus' as the gender. It keeps thing simple 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
