'A little knowledge is a dangerous thing' Has the author actually cooked with beans? If you simply boil raw beans and right afterward pour the water out, you'll be visiting the bathroom a lot... At least once it's cooked up, turn off the heat and let it soak for an hour so, and THEN pour the water out, NOT after 2-3 minutes...
