Any LN reader out there to spoil us about all this charade around the MC's backstory? They're really making a huge deal out of it, but I'm sure it's just some misunderstanding wildly exaggerated...
read it a while back so my memory might not be the best but if I remember correctly it’s basically . He’s the captain of his soccer club and he doesn’t show up in an important game due to some external factor. That’s all it’s lowk pretty overblown.

Even though Shimizu can be kinda annoying, she’s actually a good person she supports Aoyagi from behind the scenes and keeps his secrets back in middle school :meguu: and in here, Charlotte looks straight-up jealous of Shinonome :kek: well, she has big boobs & cute and Charlotte has standard boobs

And yes, before anyone says it, chapter 24 did come out. But we follow the HQ raws release, not the LQ ones listed under the "Official Raw" site. 24 HQ raws haven't come out yet, which means we're caught up, for now... chapter 24 next week.
Speed runned this shit till next patch update, y’all are the goat bro

Thank you for the chapters

Read the LN a long time ago so my memory isn't the best but this is what I remember.

Basically him and his friend are the aces of a really good soccer team. The MC gets recruited or something from a professional team/academy, and due to arrangements with them he wasn't able to play in an extremely important match with his team where they lost. He gets blamed/blames himself for being the reason they lost since he wasn't there and he regrets it. I don't exactly remember how that trauma ties in to how he acts now but that's the gist of it.

Charlotte's clinginess/jealousy is a little beyond the point of being cute and is kind of detrimental to her character. Having here pitch a fit because he's merely talking to the other girls at the table is a bit too much.
Ok but it's the fact that they're getting most of his attention and not her, she feels neglected and I can see why

I was pretty much right about the whole "tragic backstory" being totally blown out of proportion. I had a guess that he accidentally injured another player during a game. Which is a completely believable accident that can happen to anyone.

To add what I remember from other people spoilering. He was stopped from going to the match by his adopted father cause dad had some kinda deal with 3rd party that wanted the other team to win or something. Either way the result was that MCs team lost the match and his friend for whom he is suicidally supportive had some kinda injury/accident. Don't remember if that put brakes on his sport ability or not.

In the long run it still makes little to no sense why MC behaves like that when its not really his fault. Or people spoilering forgot to give important info that would change the outlook of this whole "tragic backstory", which wouldn't be the first time as I got burned by spoilers quite a lot already (Liek spoilers were saying something in WN/LN was explained better and was more tragic - and when I gone to read it - it was either 1 to 1 with manga, or even more lame in WN/LN than in the manga, etc.)
