because it doesn't, it takes some HUGE leaps of logic, the least of which is the apparent lack of adult supervision all around to the point of straight-up parental abandonment.

I know people in their 30s that wouldn't even talk like this or make a similar decision like Aoyagi...

Their talks and decision feel completely out of place for teenagers, i'd never even would consider acting like them even when i was 18, maybe it's a cultural thing, dunno...
