[Mainsite] Stripe doesn't get updated email

After the ridiculous AI girlfriend ad, I decided to look into supporting MangaDex again and saw that now, we can use Stripe directly instead of needing to go through the NamiComi integration. However, Stripe showed me an old email address, and I couldn't update it, so I decided to change my email address on MangaDex first. After the change was done, Stripe still shows me the old email, instead of the updated one. I tried to log out and back in, which should clear all account information in the client, but that didn't fix it.

Steps to reproduce:
  1. Log in to MangaDex
  2. Go to the Support Us page
  3. Choose a support tier
  4. Continue to payment
  5. Note the email address on Stripe's website
  6. Go to auth.mangadex.org
  7. Change your email address
  8. Log out of MangaDex
  9. Follow steps 1-5 and notice that the email address hasn't been updated
Client information:
  • OS: Android
  • Browser: Firefox (tried 146.0.1, Nightly 148.0a1 and the PWA via Nightly)

It's been a week, and this is still a problem, suggesting that the old email address is kept somewhere to be sent to Stripe and it's not just a cache issue.

Also, I tried on another browser and the mobile version of the "support us" page seems very empty, with just a thankful message but no way to pick a tier or anything. Is that a bug, or are you just getting rid of donations and leaning more towards ads?

afaik, we only have a Stripe user ID (no emails), so any email changes regarding Stripe should be done directly over there.

Known(ish) issue, you'll need to reenable the "Support Us" banners via the settings to be able to see the plans: https://mangadex.org/settings#supporter

This... actually seems like it might be more broken - some poking around on this wouldn't bring anything other than that 'we appreciate our supporters' message up unless I was logged in to this supporter account (neither being logged out nor using a non-supporter account did it), and that's on all of FF/Edge/Chrome on Windows 11 desktop and FF/Chrome on Android 13 phone. So at this point I'm not sure someone who's not already a supporter can even get to the support tiers?

That's the odd part: on Stripe, the email address is greyed out, I can't modify it and I don't remember setting it there... Maybe I should look a bit more into the calls to Stripe, but I'm not sure I can right now since I don't see the buttons on the normal version of the website, only the PWA.

The supporter tiers work on the PWA, but the settings section is completely empty for me. And as mentioned it's not just the banners that are missing, it's the full content of the "support us" page (except for 2 sentences saying "we appreciate our supporters", that are not the same sentences as on the PWA version).
