It's neat how, with the black and white medium, Sylvia being covered with splotches and smears of paint is basically indistinguishable from how blood and bruises would appear. It really highlights how this is Sylvia's battle, and it the effect wouldn't be the same in color—unless Galna wears a lot of red or something.

I know we are a long way from here, but now I need to see how the anime would adapt this one.

Sylvia is such a cool strong little girl, I'm so glad she was added to the cast. Her conversation with galna too, my goodness that was an amazing representation of the fight creative have with the subject. I'm so happy kiddo is pursuing her passions.

For real. I feel an itch of madness creeping to me as well when I saw that full page of Sylvia drawing prostrated with eyes delirious and a mind teetering into psychosis.

i like the whole storyline with sylvia and beem but i find it weird to remember that they're doing this for a school festival... like, okay, once the painting is complete, how will the rest turn out?

it seems anticlimactic if they get a successful haunted house, with the other students getting scared but not insane, after all this buildup
