Hey! Waffleidle couldn't make it today, but will do the mafia Au chapter later this week just filling in for the main series. Also, sad announcement for those who love Iruma is that there's no chapter next week just a heads up. Enjoy the chapter and let me know if you see any errors and I'll quickly fix it asap!

My man, knows that all great empires last 250 years, so instead of having a empire he decided to teach them and make them feel like home and earn their trust, as expected of iruma, straightforward and very wise and thoughtful of others. Also, sad no chapter next week. Have a great day to everyone

Some nice callbacks in this chapter. He's using the picture books Balam made for him and he's completely adopted Bachiko's finger gesture (page 13). I wonder if he'll summon Kalego for a crash course in how to teach.
It actually looks like he's already taking cues from Kalego; remember how Kalego had those dedicated notebooks for each of his students? I bet that's what Iruma was writing at the end there!

I'm not sure why Clara is getting kicked out of the tent. She's been shown to sleep in the same bed as Iruma and Azz multiple times and we all know she's far to pure for anything untoward to happen. She's a good girl let her back in.
Based on page 17, it seems the issue is more that Clara would keep them all up playing, but they all need sleep to be effective teachers. (Though, it seems Iruma may stay up anyways, but for work instead of play.)

I love Iruma so much, he's taking all he learnt from babyls and teaching others and I love it so much. Also really dig the sound strategy of "A good community starts with good education", which may not be flawless, but it's the way it should go. Like seriously, how do you expect a group to maintain itself if you don't teach them how to do so?

That's actually debunked histiography. Great empires last longer than 250 years. The Roman Empire lasted from 27 BC to 476 AD, over twice as long as the 250 year mark. The Ottoman Empire lasted from 1299 to 1922. The Byzantines lasted from sometime in the 4th or 5th century AD, depending on what you classify as the start of the Byzantine Empire, to 1453 AD, easily over 1,000 years. The New Kingdom of Egypt (AKA Egypt as an empire) lasted from the 16th to the 11th century BC.

The only way you can get close 250 years is if you count each Chinese dynasty as a new empire and then take the mean duration of all empires.

Mephisto is underestimating Iruma for sure, he thinks he is going to run into a wall because it is nothing like something he would expect from the task he gave Iruma or for the task Iruma really had to accomplish, but I think Iruma and Clara (surprisingly) have the right idea to build up a country and give the children of the many-ears an attatchment to the place, giving education and actually getting to know them and their ambitions. Iruma will probably choose the example study (which I think we all know will be Nova) as the King of the many-ears, now with a connected community that has more diverse skills than those limited to their hearing, and show Mephisto how he is wrong about kingmaking.
