Honestly, I don't know if adding a former temporary demon king is a good idea? We all knew that grandpa San-chan was the most closer to being the new demon king, and now suddenly there's a woman just as strong as him, if isn't more, and influent enough to act as demon king? Why did she never get mentioned before and how all the other agreed to this?

Makes no sense that someone besides sullivan is the acting Demon king after all he was the closest aid to delkira, i can only think they did this to avoid making Sullivan the villain for what's about to happened to merize, he shouldn't be the one making that choice

Andras...why does that sound familiar?

Also I'm hoping against odds that Merize ended up just being taken back to the human world and didn't die...

Naphula's mom looks a bit different in some ways.

Maybe she's mixed in some way. It's gonna happen sometimes. Keep the gene pool large.

She knew pretty much from the very beginning.

She suspected him of being a human since her first appearance at the end of chapter 9.
In the next chapter we see her notebook with things that tipped her off. Unlike most other students, she knew that humans weren't just a fairy tail, so that's why she ended with a theory that Iruma is a human.
At the end of the same chapter she had a "fateful encounter" with Iruma (the kind she saw pictured in human manga), that pretty much cemented her belief that he was a human (and she though she was flustered, because he was using some "human magic" on her - flawed logic, but she was spot on).
The next chapter she pretty much confirmed it, when Iruma reacted to the manga book that Ameri dropped. After that, she had him read the manga, instead of reporting it to her father, as she initially planned.

PS: At this point of story, we know that these characters know (or highly suspect that) Iruma is a human - Sullivan, Opera, Alikred, Balam, Ameri, Bachiko, Kirio, Henri, Kalego, Narnia, Ocho, Baal.

Nope, no misunderstanding, she knows he's a human for a fact.

Nah, it was suspicion for less than a chapter, and a firm belief for less then another. After she learned he could read human manga, she didn't even need him to confirm it.
pretty sure up until now she has just had a very strong suspicion due to a lot of circumstantial evidence, if she actually did realize beforehand at some point i feel it would have been made more clear. if she knew thats fine i guess if a bit disappointing to me personally, since if nothing else the fact that this came as a surprise to so many people means it wasn't particularly well conveyed.

This page here - "That guy is unmistakably a human!"
Seriously, just re-read chapters 9-11.
Wait, that kinda sounds very wrong... :shamihuh:

I think the problem is that it happened so long ago, and the matter isn't really brought up between them too much. Iruma, being himself, might just kept reading the manga to Ameri, forgetting the fact that he pretty much outed himself by doing that (wouldn't really be surprised if he's actually aware, though). Ameri, was more preoccupied with sorting out her feelings (and gushing over Iruma), than with thinking about his human identity (although, she didn't forgot, as we see now).

Iruma breaking it to Az and Clara, though... Now that is what i'm really dying to see.

it hasnt been that long has it?
-check release date
-8 fucking years ago
jesus christ where has the time gone
side note but i forget how much i like looking back at early chapters for long-running series and seeing how the author has evolved how the characters are drawn, always such a neat little treat.
