Nah the issue was the traveling in itself. Henri had even mentioned it at the Thirteen's Dinner table; that there was an increase of high-ranking demons visiting the human world and that it was becoming a grave issue. So for Henri to be traveling back and forth just to collect some manga could be hypocritical of him. Unless he was willingly bending the rules just for his own sake.

Of course, there's the chance that Ameri's mother (assuming she's still alive) could still be in the Human world, and Henri actually visits her and intends to take Ameri with him at some point. It would explain his motive for violating the Demon World rules.

Have we seen any other demons with hairy horns? I think the owl has a pair of stubby normal ones. The only other non-standard horns that come to mind are the shax family, who have that cool geometric thing going on. Maybe it’s just a bloodline thing.

I mean, given everything we’ve seen, and the vague memories i have of it being stated that ameri’s mother authored the manga, i’m sure at some point it was decided she’d be returned to the human world, and that some form of correspondence would be allowed. So either he was allowed visitation and brought the manga back, or (more likely) they were allowed to exchanged letters and she sent him copies of her work for him and ameri to read

I agree... In fact, if I remember right, Ameri had already claimed that the Manga collection was handed down through generations...

Of course, this could've simply been something that her Father had told her, but then it doesn't explain how or when he got his hands on them, considering how it's treated as illegal to go to the Human World.

Regardless of whatever reason; it would mean that he was violating the Demon World rules; something that he literally had attempted to interrogate and investigate Sullivan for.

And if it were contraband items, he wouldn't keep it around to show to Ameri when she was a child.
